Oh, neat. I just started playing around with a new crossword puzzle project earlier this week. I don't really want to use C++, but I'll bet I can get a lot of helpful design concepts from this.

They switched to Yahoo search for a while. Looks like maybe 2014-2017[0], though I'm not certain of that. It was briefly annoying, but I just switched it back, so it wasn't a big deal. Defaults matter, but if you're using Fir

I think this is a big part of it. When I think about how I'd like my work to have a big, positive impact on the world, one of the first things that comes to mind is fixing hiring/job hunting. I'm moderately intelligent and ha

Firefox uses the GPU via WebRender[0]. I don't know what specific things it's used for, but I'm pretty sure it's not any of the DOM parsing. The GPU is used for the actual graphical rendering down the line -- compositing

One amusing thing I saw in the two courses I mentioned is that in Intro to Logic, we spent something like a month learning each of the eighteen rules of inference, gradually adding a couple each day until we were familiar with all of them.

Probably, but it's smart to be specific with what you've actually measured/observed. This study is specifically observing babies, and if we want to assert that this is true of all people, we should do experiments that include

It is a very good deal for Stripe, but I do wonder if would it have been a better deal to buy 2-3 early stage Nigerian startups five years ago. Maybe the winners aren't willing to sell early/cheap. Should Stripe be investing in se
