Thanks for the good tips! Until Safari adds a shared reading list feature, Notes collaboration works well for that purpose. Rather than emailing web links to a friend/colleague, just create a shared note for them and add the link to th

It would be interesting to see if timing for the decline of decoration is associated with the increase in the number of objects people possess and also the rise of alternative visual stimulation in the form of tv and then internet.

Technically, Buffet isn’t a boomer. He would have been age 15 when the first baby boom (1946 to 1964) child was born.

I haven’t heard anyone calling for Buffett to step down from running Berkshire Hathaway and he’s 93. As has BRK, succession plans and a strong “bench” are institutional insurance.

Meetup is a great way to find people with similar interest. Also, take some local walking tours (often free or very low cost). Local service clubs like Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, etc are also very welcoming and they offer opportunities to get

An Apple Notes heavy user here. To the wish list, I'd add: - unlimited capacity - undiminished performance with large collection of notes - a high level of confidence that the app and the app's owner will be in business in the dec

I was in a similar position in 2010. I really liked teaching but didn’t want to go through the education and credentialing process. I went to work part-time at an Apple Store as a Creative teaching folks how to use hardware & software.

The only interesting thing here is that even after multiple millennia of evidence that predicting the future is not possible, humans still want to predict or buy predictions.

Sounds like a good solution to the problem of Photos library exceeding available disk space on Mac. Will keep an eye on this and wait for proof that it works as claimed and that privacy is secure.

Consumption is elective whether it’s “news”, electricity or potato chips. Exercise discipline about what news you consume the same way you walk down the chips aisle with blinders on. You do, don’t you?!

I joined a local Rotary club twenty years ago (in my mid-40s) and it’s become a pillar of my social health and personal productivity. Service clubs like Rotary (Lions, Kiwanis, etc) are facing an existential demographic crash right at a time

You don’t share terms of the deal. For a win-win for you and the seller, it’s great if you can transition into the business while transitioning them out of it. Creating a financial incentive for them if the transition is successful is key.

I had much the same problem with an iPhone 6+ three years ago. The easiest and fastest resolution was to upgrade to a newer phone. Surprising to me was that Apple accepted the phone as full value trade-in even knowing it was irresolvably br
