Aside from the occasional lunatic post the feed's been pretty decent for me. A lot of it can be noise but I think the fact that it's kind of basic and doesn't manipulate you into constant engagement is what makes it better -

This is a useful thing to consider when using social media or, say, dating apps in general, come to think of it. Like you, the choice of messaging app is quite beside the point (except FB Messenger being out of the question for reasons I&#x

The joy of LinkedIn is you don't need to spend your life scrolling through it. Go in, spend 5 seconds seeing what's new or if you have any non-spam messages, then close the tab. Ignore it for a week or two and repeat, no excessive

I don't think that's on Rails, more that people with less experience tend to use more indirection in their solutions because each step of the problem is seen as independent and breaking everything down into its own class or method

I do similar with K8S and RBAC. The most common action in a repo is going to be to update a deployment with a new image or resource config, so that’s all it can do. Still need a more permissive role to manage the cluster in other ways but y

I would add that intuition and knowing how to question it is also vastly important. My main driver is Ruby - I have a good feeling about code that can be refactored to use Enumerable more effectively; but I also know that Enumerable offers

I'm no fan of Meta/FB because of their attitude to privacy and their own brand of toxic social media on Facebook but it's hard to argue against the approach taken with the launch here. I don't believe the approach is con

You need a few stinkers on your shelf to offset any suspicion that you don't actually read your books and just buy the ones that make you look intellectual from the background of your video call.

The books themselves feel a bit flimsy though, compared to well-printed books that have a sturdier feel. They still cost £30+ each and the quality of the finished product doesn't really match up with the price. And we're not just
