No, you misunderstand. High growth is not a ponzi scheme. High growth with no value is. Going flat is fine, Google did that. Losing a lot of traffic because people stop using your worthless site entirely is bad. Groupon will do that.

I specifically note that Google's ads are quite effective. They are not direct transactions.

I think you're right. English doesn't have the right term (does another language?). Paul Graham used the same term in another essay. Should we make one up right now?

The point is that these are small markets (funny shirts) compared to stuff that actually makes lots of money (cars). Funny shirts do not a $100 billion company make.

Yes that would be great. I've used debian for over a decade but I still don't know how I would turn my python packages or other programs into debs.

Yes, the class certifies you, so you can get your license. You have to be licensed to volunteer as an EMT, as I said.

NASA released some e-Books the other day. They go in depth into technical topics of space exploration. Perhaps one of the books describes the challenges of wiper blades. http://www.nasa.gov/connect/ebooks/

You have to get licensed as an EMT, I took this course, it's very good: https://www.cpc.mednet.ucla.edu/cpc/course/emt You can transfer licensure between states.

You say it's cheaper, then use the example of a $2000 apartment which is an insane amount to pay for housing. Then you (correctly) note that the cheap places are actually really far (and annoying) commutes. BART stations are much cleaner

For several weeks (months?) it would "correct" my search for pyquery and change it to jquery. It was quite annoying as I had to search for it many times. It's fixed now, but Google's automated algorithms now are overly aggressive and assum

Many companies (including the one in question) want to see actual code in a language that they use at the company. The fact that Python happens to look like pseudo-code is a bonus. Maybe you already knew all the lessons in Project Euler, bu

That works if each phrase is one word. Many (most?) of the terms in the vocabulary are multi-word phrases. How would your algorithm work for multiple word phrases? What is its running time?

Thanks for not just talking about Whiteboards! That's just the hook and intro! I agree. I think high-level planning and design is a great use of whiteboards in the workplace. Code under time pressure, not as much.
