Yeah, I was down Putney Bridge - most people had fallen in at some point, but no one fell ill - but I would not have swim in there out of choice, you could see oil slicks on the water regularly - this was about 2008 I guess.

I used to regularly kayak in the River Thames (London, UK) - I didn't concentrate one day and forgot to keep the kayak always facing the current, and a small boat wake/wave knocked me over. I swallowed a little water while rightin

I wasn't much of a fan of Fred, but my girlfriend (now wife) loved him, so I thought I better go and say hello and capture that I'd met it, otherwise she might not believe me. I remain a HUGE fan of Casio watches.

This! Said it before here but also consider than right next to each ear drum is a huge artery. When you run you might hear your heart beating in your ears, but generally we totally tune it out. But it is always there. Once I realised that I

In the UK - even at the 'worst' public charging, mile for mile - it is still cheaper to charge up than to drive a petrol or diesel car - and that isn't taking into account the reduced running costs of an electric car. If you

I mentioned over dinner at my parents house (about 20 years ago) that I'd read that running 240v through a gherkin would cause it to glow - and pretty much as soon as dinner was over, my father and I had the experiment set up. Gherkins
