When were Chinese shipping lanes threatened by the west last time? A potential threat does not count. China potentially threatens the destruction of the west coast by nukes, so by your argument the US should have gone to war long ago if pot

Hmm. So far they only sold lifetime subscriptions priced at less than a years worth of monthly subscriptions. I would be scared to fail my subscribers if I run out of money and have to shut down.

I don’t think this is true. I would agree that the aha moment was not for everyone at the same time. But for most people that I saw accessing the internet the first time it clicked immediately and they were hooked.

While there‘s no doubt that earth’s clock is ticking there’s no doubt that the universe‘s clock is also ticking - although a few orders of magnitude slower.

What if you reword it as copyleft-AI GPL. You may only use this code to train “open” models, that are themselves subject to the copyleft-AI GPL. In that case you would just spell out, that you consider the model a derivate of your work.

It’s strange that in their examples they don’t show any I/O (apart from print). I would expect support from such a language to support me with I/O while I concentrate on my program. For example by providing an event loop. Of cours

This also pissed me off. Why not start the day with a weather report, short news and some trivia. When I checked long time ago I didn’t find any way to integrate stuff like that together.

I totally agree with you. But there is also the danger that you end up in a dead end. Let’s say you are a beginner programmer and good with excel. If you are now doing a lot of excel jobs (and your manager agrees that you should do it) then

I’m not cherry picking the lowest number. You are shying away from giving a typical number. The 40% protection is actually much better then the anecdotal data I have. Two thirds of my vaccinated acquaintances fell sick with Covid19 in spite

When the mass vaccinations started alpha was already the dominant variant. When I was vaccinated it was clear that delta would matter most. So the vaccination for my age group was pretty pointless. Also you didn’t cite a number of efficacy.

For measles the efficacy is apparently 97% [1]. What’s the number for Covid19? And why wasn’t it in the sheets when I was compelled to vaccinate? If I remember correctly the sheet back then stated that it may not protect against Covid19 at
