For most interplanetary missions, Earth's gravitational pull on spacecraft can be modeled as a sphere of influence of about 1 million km. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphere_of_influence_(astrodyna...

A loose analogy is that a lab notebook in this context is more like a courtroom transcript than a personal journal. It's a primary record of experimental data and procedures. Also there can be multiple people running a single experimen

The answer to the first interpretation is considerably less than twice the height of the cat, and I think it's an interesting result as well: Assuming a 0.3 meter high cat, you only need ~0.12mm of extra rope (about the width of two sh

I might be misunderstanding, but it seems like the landlord's income would include economic rent as well as profit by this definition. You might imagine a residential lease where you agree to perform maintenance and upkeep and pay prop

> "decide what values are important to you, and if your country's laws don't align well enough, feel free to break those laws" is quite an eyebrow-raiser. Do you disagree? This is itself a moral judgement and the answ

If you have the references handy, those recent papers would still be interesting to folks (like myself) who aren't in the field/up-to-date but are interested in the topic!

I think the idea was to avoid generating the single-serve packaging waste in the first place (i.e., buying longer-term ingredients in bulk, going to the grocery store). Of course there's still bag and packaging waste at the grocery sto

CC processing agreements don't normally have any such restriction - the only information that absolutely can't be stored is the CVV/CVC number. If you handle CC information, you are subject to security standards auditing (cal

I've been using jrnl ( https://github.com/maebert/jrnl ) for this. Pretty similar idea - still plain text, but adds a CLI wrapper with a few more features.

It's a whole 60W A/C adapter package, not just the cable. The adapter isn't pumping out more wattage than it's rated for.
