I can’t upvote this hard enough. The spongy tips ARE the killer feature of the pro. They are comfortable and they stay in my ears when I exercise!

The question would be whether or not they did it to exploit the advantages that culture and media now afford to women. But then again, that’s the same reason women have historically used male pen names.

I should clarify that this is not the only reason. It’s one of several. And yes, we did discuss the reasons and it was always something more interesting. But as best I could tell, if we did hire them, we had 12 months tops. Remember, I only

I just evaluated a candidate and flagged it as “no” because they had too many position changes in the last 5 years. Switching jobs is fine, but if you overdo it, you risk looking like a bad investment.

Would rising incidents of transgender identification be of the same cause? And that is also primarily among young girls. Why do we not see a similar affect of social contagion among young boys, or do we?

No it isn’t. The only people who would read that subreddit are those who go there to bask in the tragedy.

And you got downvoted for pointing this out. The decline of our society is both tragic and appalling.

While we’re doing anecdotes, my wife quit her full time job to take a part time gig making care plans for a retirement center (office work). This is because she couldn’t deal with the patient load and stress from family members. This was pr

That’s not how the logic is deployed though. The systemic injustices must be taken into account. Tuskegee would be applicable here.

But the new wisdom is that any policy which disproportionately affects a certain group is racist. That’s the actual definition of anti-racism. https://cssp.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Principles-for-A.

I’ve never understood this either. There is much to not like about the guy and much to mock him for, but Trumps comments here have plenty of science behind them. It’s stuff like this that earns the media a reputation for being elitist and c

We now require proof of vaccination to eat in a restaurant, but requiring an ID to vote is unreasonable and can only be because you want to stop people from voting. Which may be true (anything is possible), but the sheer irony here is almos

Until we know the truth (which we do now), all reasonable options are on the table. Discussing them while the verdict is still out doesn’t make you a conspiracy theorist.

Whenever I read “pivot to enterprise” from a startup, I read “we’re out of ideas”. In my own personal experience, startups who pivot to the enterprise are dying stars and that statement is a hallmark.

I don’t think they hate amazon, but they certainly don’t appreciate WaPo or NYT or fill-in-the-blank left leaning media (read most). How that translates to shutting down an Amazon data center just kind of shows how deranged people get when

I can backup that experience with my own. I can also say my life has even more dramatically improved since I stopped paying attention to the news cycle. But nobody is going to study that.

I think it depends on whether or not you are operating in good faith and you think he foundation is too. It sounds to me like people are attributing bad faith to this whole misunderstanding. It’s unfortunate that this has become our mode of

If I’ve learned anything during the pandemic, it’s “that’s not how money works”. If it runs out, they’ll just borrow more. The real question is at what point are we so leveraged that we default on bonds because we can’t meet our obligation

So the trucker shortage is a false conclusion? Cause this article states that’s the definitive cause. It reads to me like an axe to grind with Brexit and trying to tie this crisis to that political football.
