Stuff like sandstorm is a massive leap towards practical federation, but it came about 10 years late into the conversation. Not that it doesn't still hold great promise (I'm a huge fan, and 100% target demo), but that span of time

The article fails to put the timeline of meth-centric US laws into perspective. i.e. restrictions on meth ingredient purchasing, the move from large US production facilities to imports to small homebrew operations. This isn't a particu

Question which I can't get out of my head: It would stand to reason that the ruling on this case would affect other commercial phone and/or OS manufacturers, but how would it reflect on some OSS projects, where the coders are not

Honestly, I think further development on prose.io UX and functionality is maybe a shorter path past the git barrier. If default branches could be set, new files were based on templates, and YAML presented as form fields, etc. Combined with

Development in my area is poorly constructed, ugly, still expensive, and created by people who have no interest in the neighborhood. They make it hard to love.

As an individual, not much. Though I sometimes wonder what the rent landscape would look like if people with moderate amounts of money were more flexible in their neighborhood choice. A lot of these crazy high prices are driven by people wa

This decade, TL;DR: As Apple becomes the first computer maker to transition into a luxury goods company, they realize that the smoke and mirrors sufficient for keeping the pseudo-proles happy in other sectors aren't sufficient. Corinth

YMMV, but I had to manually delete Chrome cache files. Clearing from prefs took a long time, but the files remained over machine restarts.

This is exactly my point. Apple has been making these choices for a while, but they're being swept into a convo about bugs, and thus capacity/engineering. I think atp.fm dip into this for a second in their most recent (yesterday)

Seems like many people are not making enough of the distinction between choices and bugs. Sure there are bugs in lots of stuff, and that's an entirely valid conversation, but there's also a layer of confounding choices. Some make

It would seem that modeling the patient jaw development over time would be appropriate. But of course this would cost $$$ as well. Then again, if docs were to charge smaller repeating sums for the modeling, and remove the problematic cases

All political ballyhoo aside, I see this as just a 1/2 baked plan. They had a goal, they apparently didn't look for the big picture or consult with appropriate sources for advise, and they failed. Regardless of any moral or politi

I find it frustrating and confusing that Patreon conjures this image, and that there's good reason for that. The platform itself is sorely underutilized by large groups of people for who it's very suitable: Animal Rescue (Rescue (
