The only issue I've had with OVH and Kimsufi servers was that any incoming or outgoing SSH connections would also terminate on the first connection attempt. Always. Mac, Linux, Windows - it didn't matter. I've never had this

TBH with the current direction systemd is going in I'll probably end up using one of the BSDs. However, I doubt I'd be able to use a *BSD in a production environment as I am a contractor and all of my clients only want Linux.

I think that the userbase is rather fickle and it depends on who you piss off. Each board has its own culture so, for example, if you piss off /b/ then you might get an angry mob that gives you grief but I doubt that would happen

The original 4chan code was in Japanese and moot used Babelfish to try figure out what did what. From what I remember, the original Futaba code is just as bad ( http://www.2chan.net/script/ ). It's no secret that 4c

You don't pay for the bandwidth CF uses (well, I don't know about their most expensive package but with the others you don't) and using a CDN drastically reduces your bandwidth bill
