Isn't that true for all Raspberry Pi projects by the very nature of Raspberry Pis? They're just a different form factor and cost than other Linux machines, but otherwise are just a Linux box.

Yep, sorry. Meant to say that's the first thing I looked at from the announcement. 215 mile range is probably good enough. I think the definition of "really good car" will be the question. I think it could easily be argued

Agreed. I think the real news/exciting point here is that they've been able to sell at a premium over comparable (size-wise) luxury cars (E-class, 5-series, A6) at quantities that are still impressive and growing.

Are you using the wrap-reload Ring middleware? That seemed to make most restarts not necessary for me.
