It currently is a web app! I tried to communicate that in the video, pictures and text on the website.

Good thoughts! The 4-5 digit code would be a good way of differentiating between sessions/lecture. When adding class polls etc, it my be advantageous to give each student their own account. That could conflict with the current anonymous asp

Given that ShopLocket is based in Toronto, does this mean that Stripe is now offered in Canada? More related, ShopLocket has been working extremely hard, and their site looks great.

Adding multiple choice questions is certainly something I'm considering! I'm using a web font from font deck and it seems to be slow loading which blocks the rest of the page from loading...

Thanks! Great suggestion, producing a report is a great idea. I could even use the confusion data to predict exam test scores. If students are going to be evaluating their teachers (providing richer feedback than confused/understood), then

Great points. I'm definitely interested in allowing students to provide more in-depth feedback. Participation is a much trickier issue. In the classes that I tested in about 40 - 60% of the students actually used it. I was thinking of weigh

Thanks for the feedback! In large classes students tend to be reluctant to raise their hands (especially in classes with 200+ students). ESL students are also unlikely to raise their hand and say they don't get it. I actually tested the app

I'm hoping to get feedback from the HN community to gauge the interests for Drawbridge.js. If there's sufficient interest I'll speed up development and make Drawbridge better.

The article also includes a good video ( http://vimeo.com/32678094 ) describing the process for non-technical folk.

I'll happily defer to your expertise, just a two more question though! 1. Until the packets are transferred, they have to be buffered on the server. The more packets, the larger the buffer and the longer the server has to spend sending pack

But, shouldn't less data decrease the time it takes for the HTML to reach a browser - fewer packets?

I'm not sure where you've read that Foxconn has a 1.1 trillion market cap. According to Bloomberg they have a cap of 149.5B [1]. Which makes significantly more sense than Foxconn being worth way more than Apple! [1] http://investing.busine

It's worth noting that Hacker News seems to temporarily block IP addresses if too many requests are made. I'm not sure if it's requests per minute, or within an hour. But my IP was blocked 3 times when playing around with a similar script.

By default jsdom doesn't run JavaScript files unless they're specified within the program. However, if you call 'jsdom.jsdom' it will then run the scripts specified in the webpage, and those you specify in your program.

I wonder if it's helpful for hiring new developers and designers though? I also suspect that they're able to sell more of their books that target entrepreneurs.

Thanks! Node.io looks excellent! As a commenter on the parent article pointed out it handles errors, is multi-threaded and allows you to use jQuery.

I'm a big fan of octopress, which is essentially Jekyll + themes + social media + generation and deploy scripts. Octopress includes good documentation and has been easy to use with Github.

Good idea! The registration page should really be encrypted though. I'd also work on refining the design of the home page.
