Open page... start reading. Popup takes over page. Close page. I'm sure the content is interesting... but throwing intrusive popups in my face is a quick way to get me off ones site.

There are several virtual machines capable of running various versions of CP/M and a couple emulators of CP/M itself. (For example, https://github.com/jhallen/cpm )

Some of my first professional web development work back in the late 90s was writing perl using emacs on a CDE desktop. (I don't remember exactly why we were using this setup, but locally I was running Linux, but was running a X sessi

The 40+ years the Voyager probes have stuck around for is impressive... but the actual primary mission duration was about 12 years (for Voyager 2), and that was with two (planned but not guaranteed) extensions for Uranus and Neptune. The RT

Waste water, unless the plant is specifically setup to recycle it's water waste, tends to eventually end up in the ocean. Dumping fresh water in the ocean is reasonably close to shooting it out into space. (Of course nature will reclai

Rust Stable is great, but not all of the macro (the Macro 2.0 stuff) support is on the stable release channel yet. There are still some things you can't do on stable (or can do, but inconveniently). (Rocket also depends on a few other

For whatever reason images of the old Workplace Shell (OS/2) popped through my mind when I read the title. Had me imaging a weird WPS for MacOS. (Much like the Workplace Shell for Windows from way back in the day ).

I have been using Netflix on Firefox under Linux for a long while now. All that was required was changing my user agent... The only recent change here is that the user agents for Firefox on Linux are finally allowed.

Very much this. The first thing you should be doing is making the password useless by changing it. Doing anything else is entirely irresponsible. Sure, remove the file in question after that... but you can't treat the old password as a

Silicon != silicone :D. Silicon is a metalloid commonly used to produce silicon wafers for integrated circuits. (Hence, Silicon Valley :D). Silicone is a rubbery polymer which contains silicon. :D (Ex, window calking, breast implants, etc.)
