I know Air Canada does this pretty blatantly. When searching for flights they constantly go up by $50 - $100 an hour then magically reset to the original price when I open up an incognito browser window.

This sounds comparable to the dog-walking lady in the article. If I were you, I'd have walked away from that one. It sounds like the team lead wasn't interested in the value you'd provide, she just wanted a cheap developer.

Not true in my experience. I've lived in five different provinces and I've never met a Canadian who uses Farenheit. I've never met anyone under 40 who knows much more than >100F = hot either.

It's liquid oxygen venting. Oxygen can be kept in a liquid state by either keeping the temperature extremely low or keeping it under high pressure. Since reinforcing the tanks to handle incredibly high pressures would require too much

How is this different from Evernote? I use Evernote for this exact purpose using their notebooks and tags. The UI looks to be based on it as well.

That's not relevant to the discussion. This article was disputing a claim that "the 5th Pct. had a 115% increase in bicycle collisions this year", not that NYC in general had an increase.

That's not true. From the perspective of the travelers space will appear to contract dramatically - though the speed of light remains constant, the distance traveled is reduced.

I was thinking the exact same thing while reading this - it reads like a company that doesn't understand the unique challenges involved with distributed computing. I'm actually in the middle of deciding between Loggly, Papertrail,

In my opinion, possession should be legalized in every case; it's not the government's business what I choose to put into my own body. In the case of dangerous drugs and medications it should be distribution / intent to distr

A bit off topic, but does anyone here prefer / not mind open office plans? As someone who prefers open office plans to private offices / cubicles, I've always wondered if the large number of anti-open-plan articles are becaus

I'll never understand the logic behind this. How come cancer patients or people recovering from surgery with powerful opiates aren't thrown in prison? Why is possessing a chemical used medically a crime? (This is mostly rhetorical

If the ticket is only $500k, I don't see it being limited to the top 1% richest. Given that you're making a one way trip to another planet, you no longer have need for any of your property including your car and home. If a middle

I'm confused as to how this is Coinbase's fault. The entire point of two factor authentication is that it's impossible for someone to access your account without knowing your password and having access to your code generator.
