Thanks for sharing the details. Will try it out - if this drastically improves performance some setup overhead is worth it.

Curious if there are any major advantages of this utility over CoC (which also works very well for neovim). I understand that for Neovim native LSP and lua based plugins are the way forward but curious whether anything is to be gained at

Zaid Ajaj probably has had the biggest impact in establishing the Fable/F# ecosystem. Besides his numerous repos, the Elmish book [1] is really awesome. [1] https://zaid-ajaj.github.io/the-elmish-book/#/

Not familiar with VxWorks, but I have mostly seen lua being used as a plugin/extension language around a core implemented in native code.

I have not used carp, and janet only briefly. However, other than both using lisp syntax, there are very little similarities between the two. Janet has a garbage collector, no static types, no ownership tracking - the perf. is similar to lu

While the conservative reproduction of Acme's interaction will appeal to fans who have used the editor I guess, I think a lot of people would find the interactivity (esp. the resizers, left scrollbar) very non-intuitive in present day

Yes, I love mobx and have used it in a few projects. It is a quite a bit larger and I can live without the transparent reactivity. YMMV.

Vue supports observables. So you can have observables that shared across components (for simple use cases). For more involved scenarios, it is possible to libraries like Vuex which offer better visibility/predictability.

The issue with using eventemitter for state coordination is that when the UI grows into complexity you run into race conditions where some component isn't showing the right data because it got mounted too late or something somewhere up

We used to run a production service written in JRuby until a year or so ago (at which point it was rewritten in kotlin). It was a minimal pure ruby service deployed as a tomcat servlet. Despite not using any heavy weight framework (eg. rail

Nim is not really 'pythonic'. It does have some superficial similarity with Python (being whitespace sensitive) but it begins to diverge pretty soon. This is not really a criticism of Nim. I quite like many of the choices in Nim.

Firefox containers are cool. I do wish though that they were better integrated with the rest of the browser eg. bookmarks , history, downloads etc. I am aware that I can configure it to open certain sites in certain containers always, but t

As an extension, for use cases where this is not feasible (eg. you have clustering, non-trivial permission checks or multi-entity payloads etc.) it is quite convenient to have nginx with openresty talk to redis.
