What do you suppose is the recommended way to use the encapsulation? ;) This is partly why there's a "defining global variables" section, I know people will will consider some usage as not using a global

You might like the article I wrote for next week. Could you tell me where this post is linked from? I didn't think anyone would see this when no one commented the first day

You may hate my article next week, it's meant to replace this article. If you want you can email me for early access and tell me how I can improve the article. Lets say you can guess my email if you're emailing the right domain

That's exactly why I used this specific example. I seen many code bases that use clone to avoid mutation problems so I wrote this specifically to show it can become a problem too. I wrote a better article on globals. I plan on posting

I've been playing this game all week. A few essential things you should know: 8's are only on the 2 rows/columns next to the edge. 11's are always in the corner and if you see a '?' the purple 5 point monster i

I'm the author of https://bolinlang.com/ Go is a magnitude slower. I have some ideas why people think go is fast but there's really no excuse for a compiler to be slower than it. Even gcc is faster than go if you

I heard someone say gdb works great with emacs but I never had a good experience with C++ in neovim. I asked friends and they all say they use a second editor to debug which is part of why I bothered to do this

I'm the author. I had experience with SDL and wrote a test to confirm it still performs well (I never tried it on linux). It did, SDL has been ported to just about every OS. I have some OS specific code for windows but not much. The on

I'm the author, I haven't seen it drop a frame when running in a release build. I had experience with SDL and wrote a test to see if it performs as well as I remembered. It did, so I implemented this without using a GUI toolkit. I

Except for the occasional python I don't need to touch any of that. I'm the author, try looking the editor up in 3 or 6months. It may have most of the papercuts solved. I went after the big things that I had no time to implement t

Hard disagree. Most of the time I have a specific failure case in mind when I open my debugger. It's very easy to see which if statements the failure case takes and to run again looking at what variables caused it to take those if stat
