I too thought this was an actual experiment. I can't believe you're not logging stuff… I bet a "game" like this would totally be a gold mine for psychologists/sociologists and behavioral scientists alike… :D

This might sound crazy, but I'm on the "other side" of this conversation: I'm incredibly passionate about the management side and "shit umbrella" functions of software development. I'm driven by helping ma

I'm a 32-year old who has recorded some LP videos and who, not recording anymore, still watches other 30-some playing Minecraft on YouTube… :) I don't particularly jive with PewDiePie and the like but I watch others like Etho (eth

I actually prefer Firefox's approach to multiple tabs: the tab bar scrolls (you can use the scroll wheel). That's about the only thing I like in Firefox anymore though… Been using Chrome because of its multi-user support (tied in with Googl

Agree. That's why we're calling it a "bubble": the sheer disproportion between revenue, employee number and brand value, and price tag. I'm merely putting things in perspective, not writing a "market analysis". :)

My concept of "bubble" stems from over-valued acquisitions, based on everything but revenue. I'm not saying that "Instagram is the bubble". All I tried to do was to put things in perspective, considering a new and upcoming brand versus a ve

Agree. That's the definition of a "acquisition bubble": when acquisition value is so far higher than societal value. For the record: I'm not disagreeing with you. Putting things like this in perspective just makes one wonder what has led us

Tried reading it again, ignoring the glaring typos and I'm now sure the content has nothing to do with the title. It's a quick/incomplete overview of Basecamp, with little information on how it does actually benefit startups. PS: I'm a star

If you like 37signals that much, you should take their advice and learn one very important skill: writing. Not trying to be toxic, but that post is so badly written it hurt my eyes before I was able to grok the actual content…

I never said Metro is a design failure. I'm saying Metro isn't designed and the explanation is because it can't. As to what I am/am not, it should be pointless: you should analyze my argument and agree/disagree based solely on itself. Am I

My opinion is based on something real. Whether or not you agree, it is up to you. I don't pretend to be determining what is true or not but I think my informed opinion is of value to others… otherwise I wouldn't write about it. You think my

I agree completely. By "undesigned" I'm not trying to say "no thought into it"… I'm merely commenting on the failure to make the most important decision of all: is it a UI for mono-task, touch-driven devices or multitask, mouse-driven devic
