Given that you "spend more and more time on branching, rebasing, cloning, merging, etc. and less time on actual code writing", shouldn't you care more about the different kinds of VCS? Seems having the right tool should be

There should be disclaimers about that when you buy such HDDs. I wouldn't consider watching videos a performance related activity. I say this is WD's failure at properly marketing their product lines.

The problem with other distros is the lack of a design. Ubuntu was the first Linux distro I used that did not look like a donkey's ass (back in 2008~). Even today's Gnome Shell does not look as good as Unity... it also does not sc

That would be pretty sloppy.. which makes me think it is intentional. In the end, I guess there's no difference.

For PS3 the chances are 0 percent due to a very unusual hardware architecture. For Xbox360 I'm not as sure, but I would say chances are also low. These devices are closed and contain chips to make sure only secure and encrypted code ca

Great, Apple doesn't get it because the company really holding this patent is one of the few worse patent trolls out there. When will it stop?

I think this is a smart move. Microsoft has a lot of cash and doesn't seem to know where/how to spend it. I mean their latest product launches have met pretty cold receptions. Curious to see how this will play out.

Apart from the initialization code which I'd agree is significantly less painful for CUDA, I haven't seen that much difference in terms of exploiting a GPU's compute units. I never wrote complex applications though, so am I m

Interesting how a lot of people in here assume this is a fraud to support their previous project. Why couldn't they honestly be starting a new project with a separate team?

Nice! It looks pretty simple, but it makes me wonder. Why bother interfacing your Python code with Go? Why not go straight to C for more performance?

Been happily running Ubuntu 13.04 with Python 3.3 for a few weeks. Sure some packages will break, but it will initiate a real migration, and in the end Python3 will be the default Python. All in all, there's no way to make this transition w
