That's not the point. This is a purely technical play, fundamental valuation methods have been thrown out the window a long time ago. Game stop is maybe worth 5-40$, but these reddit WSBers think the stock will keep rising due to the s

You could kickstart training on simulators and then do a transfer, i.e. make adjustments to your final model, on real world data. But to learn only on generated data the problem boils down to the nonparametric features you will be using to

What about building machine learning models that make predictions on said data? Can't just test on fake data.

What does moving to 5nm mean here? Starting to build stuff with 5 nm or releasing 5nm CPUs AND GPUs? Point is we don't know... and waiting for next gen is always an option -- what about next next gen?

Am I reading this right? Is the new mac mini competing with a Ryzen 5950X? The whole mac mini costs the price of that processor alone. This is insane.

Catalina already broke a TON of legacy software and you cannot downgrade newer Macs to Mojave (at least not without some serious hacking efforts, and I know at least one person who tried and failed).

This is why this game is so dangerous. Also self reporting introduces bias too (biggest winners likely to report, everyone else not so much).

Now we just need to port all this over to python... or switch to Julia? Which one would take the least amount of effort?

I think most tech stocks are overpriced right now. The amount of speculation taking place in the stock market at the moment is just insane. MSFT gained 30% over 6 months (that's compared to pre COVID levels), what's changed that m

I have strong feelings against permanently remote. I feel like this hasn't been fully thought out. Face to face interaction is much more high bandwidth than remote video calls (in other words, it conveys more information). Not to menti

Feels like they are blaming Google (Chrome) for Google (search) tracking users altogether? Maybe we need to start legally enforcing "Do not track" browser state?

Windows is still very much subpar, even with support for CUDA in WSL2. Loading packages is terribly slow in Windows, for some reason. Also don't get me started on package management (no, Anaconda doesn't cut it).

NVidia's grasp of the market is stronger than people realize. AMD video cards are comparable on a technical level, but they struggle immensely on the software side. NVidia has built a competitive advantage over those many years of tota

I feel like if I applied this reasoning I wouldn't give any money to any cause. There is always waste, no organization is perfectly managed. To be fair, it doesn't mean they shouldn't be open to criticism.
