It sounds like you think humans can still beat top computers? According to my research the last time a human beat a top computer was 2005. Almost a decade ago!

Yea well maybe they can't remotely turn on a Nokia P30 or whatever but most people these days use iPhones or other smart devices that almost certainly have many zero-day bugs available to the NSA.

There are NO essential carbohydrates. Carbs are not the only source of energy.

Can anyone recommend some open source code to experiment with at home? Maybe fed by Google Tango or Microsoft Kinect?

It would be much cheaper to just have solar panel covers over the parking spaces. And that way the cars get some shade too as a bonus.

This is a 'feel-good' idea but it's just a waste of resources. Why not build a good road and a good solar panel separately? Combining them like this makes for a very expensive solar road that's bad at being a road and ba

Not nearly as much as Comcast though. If I have my home internet with Comcast and I suddenly can't access Netflix while my friends on other ISPs can access it just fine, then of course I'm going to call Comcast.

You seem to have missed what she's saying. She is say 'EVERY SINGLE CROSSFIT GYM' does high-rep heavy weights for time, which is a bad idea. Doing squats or snatches as fast as you can is a recipe for disaster, and this high-

If we can model or compute physical processes then we can model or compute the human brain. Is consciousness beyond physics? I realise that some people think so but personally I find it preposterous.

If the human brain is conscious then obviously consciousness is in fact computable. I don't see how the authors can reconcile their findings with this.

If the rumours are true, Apple is buying Beats because they want physically bigger headphones to attach their (also rumoured) heart rate and blood pressure ear monitors. It's all coming together now. We'll probably see an announce

This is actually a closely related problem, solved using the same mathematical tools - calculus of variations.

In my third year at university we covered this in an Applied Mathematics course - Calculus of Variations. At the time our lector explained that in the entire field of mathematics we've learned over the last 20,000 years or so how to so
