It should be ok as long as you do it logged out. SerpAPI is a convenient wrapper API for scraping various sites. I assume they've vetted all the legality of things. They have a YouTube API: https://serpapi.com/yelp-sear

I built a service around helping podcasters automatically convert their audio podcast into a YouTube channel. I went through tons of review with Google in order to get access to the YouTube API and make sure everything I was doing was in co

I don't know if it's lightweight or not but I like the GitKraken app. I use it very occasionally when I need to do something advanced or tricky.

IMO, just leave it blank and highlight your work experience. They're hiring you to develop at work, not develop at home. Recruiters ask for lots of stuff that isn't necessary. Again, I'll highlight that I've worked with

If you're not focusing on UI design in your career, why does your portfolio need a nice UI design? Build stuff that highlights the skills you want to advertise. That being said, I don't think you need a portfolio. It might help, b

Looks really cool. I've thought about building a business around ffmpeg myself. Btw, your self hosting link is broken.

That's what LemonSqueezy already is. You can setup subscriptions and disable their storefront, then it's perfect for SaaS.

I've used the detergent before but I find it messy sometimes or it will clog the detergent door. I use the cheap Finish tabs now. The do just as well as the expensive pods.

I actually used my Alexa like that all the time. "Alexa, order more dish detergent" "From your recent order history, I found Cascade Dish Detergent pods, 120 count, $17.99. Would you like to order?" "Yes" It wa

I think you're just going through the learning curve of something new. You could make the same argument about a React/Next app being unnecessarily complicated with Hello World.

Crowdstrike's contracts and terms of service will have clauses about how much liability they have when things go wrong. I have no idea what Crowdstrike's policy is, but pretty often, the liability is limited to the amount of money

I'll jump on the don't bandwagon. I've been using Express, React, and SQL for a decade. I don't see any reason to change anything. I just read a post about a solo developer who has a $1.3 million business. It runs on Jav

One of these reasons these sites failed is they tried to scale to $1B companies, which made sense 10 years ago. They were successful except for scaling. These sites can totally exist as $XX million companies even today.

I've been using Plausible for a while and been pretty happy with it. I agree that GA4 is too complex. I do sometimes worry that Plausible's more relaxed session tracking is making it harder for me to understand my true user count.

The drones under 250g don't require a license only for recreation flight. You also can't fly over people and a few other things like that. You still need an FAA license to operate a sub 250g drone for anything commerical. Also dro

A drone is considered an aircraft by the FAA. It's not just an RC toy. There is a small carve out that drones under 250g can be flown recreationally by anyone, but most drone flights are being done by pilots who have remote pilot licen
