Some of these "flops" include: the RSS spec that evolved into the currently used one, XML-RPC, SOAP, OPML... You must have a very high standard for success ;) Edit: arguably podcasts were first implemented by Winer too

I agree on the separation of input fields, but wanted to point out that the search functionality you mention exists in Chrome too (Mac equivalent in parens): ctrl(cmd)+l to focus omnibar, alt(shift)+enter to open results in a new tab

Burlington, VT (last I knew, anyway) has a similar law -- stop signs are effectively yield signs, while red lights are stop signs, as far as cyclists are concerned.
