Apple has a simple and transparent strategy that is good for its customers: pay a premium and get a premium product. They don't violate your privacy, they don't usually show you ads (although they do have an ad network, limited to

You can just install your own router too. You can get a Motorola cable modem that works just as fine as whatever they put in there I imagine. I have my own modem. The only time having my own modem has ever been an issue is when I called cus

Science answers questions with evidence. None of this armchair conjecturing about what ifs. You don't increase smartphone screen resolutions and put rovers on mars with what ifs. Tangible benefits are the fruit of science. Objective r

I think the problem is also vim which doesn't have a really great way to do syntax highlighting. At least not an easy way. Highlighting is all in a single thread and blocks which makes it slow on large files and the regular expressions

Seems like you could just watch the network for whatever those apps are doing and reverse engineer whatever remains of the API. You might not be able to build a business on that, but you can build your own apps for yourself, friends and you

There is always a lot of careful insight in Gruber's posts that I like but it is tainted with a type of enthusiasm that doesn't belong in journalism. Even if he is correct, being a cheerleader with liberal praise isn't analys
