Sadly my only experience with Pijul was this https://github.com/Eugeny/russh/issues/151 . When one of the key guys behind the VCS says things like "especially when the alternative is something as broken a

Oh God, this is such an astute observation. I think it worked so well on me that I didn't even think about the "deep" portion initially. Goes to show how effective these things are psychologically.

I think we should give priority to the people who are no inside multi-ton metal boxes, pollute less, can get on average healthier due to walking etc etc... At least inside our cities.

I come from quite a small town and to my surprise there are still shops that develop film for roughly the same price point as twenty years ago. I guess they have a lot of those older people who never "got on with the times" and we

Sure, there's always a stylistic option with colour, I get that. I don't really conflate "realism" with "authenticity" however. There's something special about getting a roll of film - which has an opinion

That's really good news. It's pretty nice to see the younger generation ditching the hyper-processed type of photos you get from a smartphone for a more 'authentic' look at life.

Honestly this was one of the most influential pieces of writing I've ever read. Back in the day this opened up a lot of the implementation details on interpreters and C for me. It quite literally helped "get" how programs are

Individual autonomous cars will solve all transportation issues. What's that? Trains? Trams? Efficient urban fabric? Things that Tokyo, gasp, already has? Bull. /s.

Had to read the title 3 times. It's... actually readable? For example https://gitlab.brokenpipe.de/stettberger/avremu/-/blob/maste... hits me as a very usual pattern to write emulators.

I've heard of jujutsu, but I'm kinda over learning new tooling, specially experimental one. If it's not a drop-in replacement that makes my life better (like these easy "git plugins"), I'm basically not using.
