Exactly. It wouldn't be Google if they hadn't a/b-tested the hell out of this.

Haha. Seems to be the norm in tech firms. I know it is where I work.

This sure is impressing, but nobody said Flash doesn't have some good features. The question is about whether anybody who wants to can implement a player for this page.

Maybe they really are trying to get it right the first time 'round but things like SVG have been in other browsers for years. They will only be available to the ordinary IE users next year. This should not have taken so long. I still can'

I really do want to believe this guy; that's why I think that it is other forces within MS that are causing IE snail-speed progress.

I'm really wondering why all these graphing libraries seem to be preferring canvas over SVG. Nothing wrong with canvas but doesn't SVG integrate much better with the DOM and aren't graphs a really good example of a vector graphic?

Can the JVM bytecode and the .Net assemblies somehow magically make use of each other or do you have to choose which one you target? If you can't this seems to be "just" an implementation of each platform, right?

True. Most Apple products aren't very good if you compare them in a "tech spec per dollar" kind of way. If all I wanted was a laptop with processor X and Y amount of RAM I could have found something cheaper than a Macbook.

I'm quite tired of the "Startup lessons from Justin Beiber"-type articles.

Very true. I have a Linux phone (Android) and I must concur that it sucks. I really regret buying it. Particularly since HTC has done an Apple on me and made it extremely difficult to install a new ROM.

Extremely true. I have an HTC Hero and I'm pretty disappointed at the partial shittiness of the experience: Very delayed updates, slow UI, and now they HTC has installed a kernel that blocks all rooting attempts. That's exactly the reason I

I'm not quite sure what this could be useful for. Working with xml in a browser isn't as easy as json, but it isn't so broken it needs another intermediate layer.

This is pure speculation but maybe Google uses VP8 in order to negiotiate a better licensing fee once h.264 isn't free anymore. MPEG-LA would think twice about loosing Youtube as a customer. This would go against Google's "Don't be evil" bu

I'm wondering how the implementation is chosen when you do something like List<String> list = ["ham","eggs"]; Is it a linked list, an array list, a vector ... ?

I can't really understand all the XML-bashing. Of course it isn't the right tool for any job, but I like it for its schema and validation features.

Funny. This is like shooting fish in a barrel. What are the chances of getting this SQL injection attack vector served on a silver plate right when he needed it?
