Relicensing gcc would hurt FSF in reputation way more, especially for people who contributed to gcc and didn't want it to be AGPL.

Ironically that's what modern LSPs are, aren't they? An API on the handful of use cases an IDE might want to care about.

How the hell did they have read + write access from the temporary profile to the old one? Shouldn't the tenporary profile belong to a distinct, temporary user account? Or the move opration immediately prompted for admin authorisation

But this might be better served with a simplistic voice activity detection, like in mumble.

Not mentioned here, but some stuff we bumped into: * std::filesystem::path broke some APIs with the introduction of u8string. * some deprecated interfaces of std::allocator got removed. It was easy enough to resolve and we are in the proces

umm, you can edit: to elaborate both g++ and clang++ implement the Itanium C++ ABI[1]. You might get binary incompatibility by mixing standard libraries, so just don't do that. [1] https://itanium-cxx-abi.github.io/cxx-

In C++ string literals are const. In C they are non-const, but modifyng them is undefined behavior regardless.

Does this only affect pypi, or should I now worry about shared libraries shipped with my distro as well? Debian is not crazy enough to ship shared libs compiled with -ffast-math, right? RIGHT?

Doesn't list my favorite footgun. x and y are unsigned short. The expression `x*y` has defined behavior for... a) all values of x and y. b) some values of x and y. c) no values of x and y.

It is fine to have multiple email addresses connected to a single inbox. Email providers already do normalization like this that is not baked into the spec. Gmail for example treats johndoe@gmail.com and john.doe@gmail.com the same.
