As for C++, memory is not the only resource you can leak. When you leak, then you leak objects with it, and they can hold on to other resources that you might want to clean deterministically. Having said that nothing stops you from replacin

I would have expected the _LIBCXX_ASSERTIONS macro in libc++ to affect the behavior, similarly to many other standard library undefined behaviors.

LaTeX renders slightly longer space between sentences by default. You need to put "\ " after a dot that is not an end of a sentence to have a normal space there.

C++20 has limited support for allocating memory at compile time. The allocations can't be leaked from the constant expression context, so that limits usefulness. There are proposals to extend it, but there are some non-trivial const co

That basically means that s+traits::length(s) must be defined behavior. If s is not a pointer to a 0-terminated string then the behavior of this constructor is undefined.

llvm-mca prefers the "fold" over the "min". Intuitively it's more pipelinable. The codegen for "min" has data dependencies that are not there for the "fold" version. https://godbolt.or
