In reality, probably not. If the parents found out you were contracting a convicted pedophile for whatever reason, it'd be the end of your daycare. You'd fare much better contracting law enforcement who catch pedophiles for child protection

MySQL for day to day stuff/existing software, Postgres for a new project, and Sqlite for unit testing (since it has an in memory database, which is awesome). Playing around with the document/NoSQL databases, but nothing in production yet.

Yup, if you're a programmer (like most of us), transitioning into that role is very tough. You have to be very extroverted and it can be unsettling sometimes. I'd love to see some interviews with successful programmers turned CEO's/managers

If he absolutely needs the extra $2000 this month, consulting may be the wrong way to go. Say you bill for 20 hours at $100 an hour to a company and they pay invoices 45 days after submission. Now you're SOL. I'd look for a part time job,
