100k feet in altitude may not be quite high enough to get that 'in space' feel. I think you can see the curvature of the earth and the sky above you is dark / blackish.

This is exactly my experience. Very happy with my Bolt as well. I also wouldn’t buy another car without CarPlay

I'm not sure it would have much of an adverse impact. Driving the car is constantly charging / discharging it (regen braking). I think it's more about how deep the cycles go -- just don't let the grid drain below like 30

I have no Adblock on my phone and it’s unbelievable how many ads some sites put up. Many times I have to hunt for the second half of the article past five or six full image ads and sponsored content. This feels like a death spiral - the mor

I don’t think this post is trying to use correlation to prove causation. It’s in effect saying that when you can’t be sure that there is a causal relationship between two things that you can still make some decisions. Perfect is the enemy o

It's not $42M in options. It's 42M options, possibly valued at $110 each at the IPO. Hence $4B

Based on the filing the company awarded 42M stock options to the CEO earlier this year. The filing mentions a share price of $110 per share, so that's over $4B. That can't be normal, right? That's 10% of the entire company. I

It's fulfilling to do that, but all successful startups go through a phase where they become more professional and hire a lot of experienced leaders. The culture the 'old' team worked to create very quickly gets diluted and r

How is the paper getting its data? Maybe I didn't read carefully enough, but don't they need to know the liquidation preferences of the rounds?

What do people think of services like https://www.loginprompt.com/ ? (provides logins as a service for your startup) Isn't this sort of security something we wish we didn't have to learn? And for people who don't take the time maybe it's

Sorry, my point was that they picked a benchmark that was too easy. I suspect if the machine was straining to hit 60fps their results could be vastly different. That's how most games run, so that'd be more interesting to see.

I'm slightly skeptical of their benchmarks -- the fact they're using 300fps numbers is a red flag. No one runs games at that speed. What's the comparison for a game running at 30 - 60fps? My hunch is that D3D has a tiny fixed per-frame c
