Reading speed is highly correlated with the difficulty of the material. And even this factor varies from person to person because of different backgrounds and interests. For me reading speed and a quiz on the material afterwards are useless

IQ is a highly outdated concept and making wild assumptions about correlation unscientific. Reading becomes more effortless with practice.
