WTF !? I see on the dashboard I now can "manage my devices", click on it and ... get something like "Authorize the manager to use geolocation data" with _only_ an accept button. I can't even say No ! This is way ou

Nop, it does not. They're walling their garden. Many thanks Mr Job. Youtube comment only available if you're logged in for instance. Actually, nothing that new here. They wanted to build the Google distributed "computer"

I'm a huge fan of Rosling. Obligatory link to Gapminder http://www.gapminder.org/ Video section is full of gems.

I can find references to a fines but nothing about Expedia leaving Voyages-sncf.com capital. Really curious about it, could you point me to some reference ?

You're assuming voyages-sncf == SNCF which is not the case. It's a travel agency whose shareholders are SNCF and Expedia. So they are a private company that have a preferential treatment for which they been condemned once IIRC (no

I'd add that if you depend on SEO, I'd be careful about the tld I choose. For instance, the .io has only been upgraded recently from country level to general tld by google. Im not sure .ly and .st are currently treated as generic

Hence the copyright assignment required for any contribution to Canonical's projects, to ease the double licensing. But for now, it's only speculation. Time will tell.

IIRC, isn't Lyx what you are looking for ? I never used it so I might be wrong. -- Edit: http://www.lyx.org/

Could you explain a bit more how it works because, if a see the big picture, I fail to see how it could be useful outside Twitter's stack. I mean it seems to heavily rely on Finagle, right ? Please correct and explain if I'm wrong

Yahoo could append a text header in the mail body reminding it's a recycled email so caution has to be taken and it should not be trusting it upfront. It adds it to the first 10000 mails sent or the first 6 month whichever comes _last_

I have a hard time believing you since minimal Belgium legal wage is around 1200 euros / month before taxes. And software developer is hardly a blue-collar job. Either you work part-time or your being exploited. You're trolling an

In Europe you it's opt-in by default. You have to explicitly consent to the creation of an account as far as I understand it. So, to me, they could scrap content but not go as far as create automatically an account without your consent

How come ?! This is blatantly illegal in Europe ! I genuinely really don't see how they could get passive consent unless FB and Twitter themselves give them access. Or they just scrap public profiles ?

That is interesting. How do you envision that for the moment ? As a "Web distribution" with it's own management system that integrate with existing backend and frontend tools ? Or more like a collection of integrated stacks ?

I did not think about it like that but, it could be possible to start building something along the lines. Like several "distributions" because not everybody has the same needs obviously.
