Im thankful for Clojure, without which I would be 75% less effective. Im thankful for all of you guys, who open source cool libs every month, letting me learn and latch on much faster than I could do otherwise.

I dont think their model is working, and Im not sure it ever will. Simply reading brainwaves, a bi-product as I understand it, of the actual neuron activity, couldn't possibly give you an accurate result.

I think CS i still very much a discipline we fail to teach - And no wonder when you look at the curriculums. In our last hiring round, we filtered a lot of applications down to 5 individuals we wanted to interview. During the interview they

This guy's a genuine detective. Love how he documented every small insight and what it led to.

So often lately, Ive come here and left disappointed. Reading about Wasabi and hipster sweaters. But this post is exactly the kind of content we should be pushing. Everyone who reads this will become a better hacker for it.

As someone who has been doing Clojure/Cljs for a long time, I really appreciate it whenever someone goes the extra mile in explaining the basics - All the things clojurians take for granted in their every day work. Kudos to the author!

If you invent a great piece of software, you need to be paid for the time you put into making it. If your only play is a license deal or such, open source will kill your business. Or turn it into something that RMS agrees with. But it wont

What I fundamentally dislike about RMS' philosophy and the licenses its inspired, is that it values a developers time as nothing. As if the world has some fundamental right to everything that rolls out of my head.

You're exactly on point, and your 1:1 exchange here demonstrates the principle of shallow thoughts perfectly.

I'll be honest, I disengage from interrupters almost immediately. They consistently miss the point in their eager to hear their own shallow thoughts. Its boring.
