I take it you’ve never lived in India? Visited Pakistan or Bangladesh? Plenty of people would (literally) kill for those jobs, and have no other useful employment. In those countries, Women are often widely forbidden from doing most jobs, w

The women in this situation aren’t complaining. Very much the opposite. Why the compulsion to paternalistically ‘protect’ everyone even to the point of making them unemployed? I assume they weighed their options and decided this was the bes

Phone cameras typically have IR filters that filter out that light. You need to modify the camera (or have an exceptionally cheap one?) to not have it filtered.

The alternative is…. They don’t have a job? What else is going to happen? For many people, the alternatives can literally be death, wading unprotected through human excrement, sold into defacto slavery, etc. etc. AI can do some of it (now),

If you think the child porn is the worst part of this mess, I’ve got news for you. We’d all be lucky if it was just distributing child porn.

Construction workers don’t get rest days. Every one I know described the first two weeks as complete hell, until their bodies just stopped complaining. But it still takes it’s toll long term.

It’s almost like it was done… as a team. Where one side provided all the money, the other side provided the direction. Both were necessary. Weird huh?

Now imagine that for toilet paper over the top, or over the bottom, or sitting on top of the toilet tank. And everything in between. We have plenty of bits, at least.

Which nobody does (really) because it turns into a giant narcissist shit fight then for who can come up with the most absurd ‘truthy’ answer for publicity. Everyone has to end up filtering at some point or it’s all just noise.

Also, management doesn’t have time to fully understand it, which means they need at least one employee who does. And that employee now has leverage.

Applying too much force cuts off circulation and can lead to severe bad outcomes for the hogtieee. Best is ‘firm and unyielding’ not ‘I can’t feel my hands anymore’. Easy enough to do in a few seconds with a big zip tie.

If highway patrol was spending their day harassing loiterers at the mall, everyone would be pissed. Because 1) while they are legally allowed to do it, it isn’t their job, and 2) it is other people’s jobs. Which is the point.

Use a zero clearance cutter which cuts it flat and flush with the lock. The jaws aren’t ’v’ shaped like they are for heavier wires, one side is flat and cuts flush on that side. Usually these are used for small wires. Any electrical supply
