<rant> Why do i have to scroll down a full page to see any text and then when I do, why do I have to zoom out to read it properly? </rant>

The bad thing about this way of presentation, is that the circle bubbles are dispersed, at any level. So I need to pan around just to read the text on each, which is very annoying.

I clicked the link and then tumblr asked me about privacy, with a link to "Manage options". I clicked the link, hoping to disable x,y,z and there is just text. No options! Not reading further.

After reading the article I am none the wiser as to how the image was actually made. I get that that is is a composite. But is it just a photoshop job? How are the colours determined? Thanks

No it is not true. What is true, is that nobody actually knows, since we have no idea when humans began, other than "some point before X", where X may be a shadily derived date based on pseudo scientific methods. I find the fact t

I just started researching this subject recently. Graham Hancock is a very interesting speaker regarding the subject. I highly recommend that anyone interested in this subject to have a listen. Seems we are on a cycle of occasional doom and

Can't agree more. If I went to a software job and started reading that stuff I'd get moved into hardware :) I suppose that's a credit to all the engineers who build all the middle layers that allow software engineers to float

Whatever we can do is minor in comparison to the overall trend that the earth has for climate change, irrespective of humanity. To think we can effect a real change and avoid a natural change is to give yourself too much credit. We should s

"you’re a member of a team not the boss of the team." Surely the boss is still a member of the team, otherwise he is chilling, collecting pay checks for nothing. I don't like the ring fenced sub-team mentality that this comme

I can never understand why a simple colour scheme is presented as a "big thing". Consistent dark mode themes seems so unattainable in modern software (in fact any theme customisation). It is as necessary as cars with different col

Your statement implies that things will be better when/if we find another decaying rock to spend the rest of eternity on. How so?

Yes but as the general population demand increases, economies of scale take factor, so the cost (not the tax) goes down. Still might be more expensive, but less so that the 20%.

Pick any aspect of said subject and dig in. If possible, have a project to study said subject. Do not look at other aspects of the same subject. Focus. Less thought is more at this point. The minute you start thinking "oh no the subj

Maybe it did used to work, but now because of a seemingly unrelated bug fix, it has broken it. Wack-a-mole style. Takes the engineering right out of software engineering if you ask me.

It is a clever move to minimise engineering, whilst maximising profit at the expense of the consumer, whilst the consumer does not realise. Apple is in a position of power here, due to the public. Fact is, however you cut it, slice it, or d

This is true. Whats even worse, is when you downloads some stuff on GitHub to play around and learn from, and then you get frustrated by lack of ability to build the darn thing! #beentheredonethat
