You could make it simpler in Python, Go, PHP, Rust, Elixir, Haskell, Ruby, and even in JavaScript if you want to step outside the JS ecosystem. Just try to make something without React and you light see the light. It's actually not dif

Why would you move to Apple when you're upset that Google is copying what Apple has done for many years? And even after that, the Apple ecosystem is even more closed down than Android.

Yes. I only had to enable some permissions when I copied BankID to the new phone but otherwise everything seems to work.

In Sweden banks require you to have the BankID authentication app to login on web page (and banking apps, and many other pages). Banks may offer a physical device but that's another device you have to being with you, and it's not

That's very unfortunate. Most apps work fine though, including all Swedish banking and authentication apps I've tried.

What's with this annoying and false narrative that it's all over for GrapheneOS? Everything suggests that they will be able to support the new Pixel models. > We've received the Pixel 10 we ordered and have confirmed it su

GrapheneOS still works fine (support for Pixel 10 will most likely come). What the future holds is unknown however.

My suggestion is to simply build your own static site generator. It's more upfront work of course, but you don't have to be bothered with the tool changing underneath you.

GrapheneOS is luckily working with another OEM but that's still 1-2 years away. Buying a phone from Google is hardly ideal, but the effect is limited by the earnings being nothing but a blip in the grand scheme of things. Having an alt

That might be because GrapheneOS by default scrambles your GPS location but I think you should be able to turn that off?

I have no idea, but I've never gotten the "this app is using Play Integrity" warning with BankID so maybe it doesn't use Play Integrity?

Yes. The only issue I had on GrapheneOS was that I had to play with the location permissions a bit when I wanted to copy the BankID to GrapheneOS from another phone (I've got some pictures of that in this blog post: https://

Humans have a very strong tendency to identify with certain groups (while distancing from other groups). This is just one such example and it's similar to how group dynamics with sport teams and politics work.

Types in TS can indeed become very complex (depending on their usage of course) and it might not be the best example of the benefits. I personally think that simpler Rust is a better example of the benefits static typing (or maybe something

I used a Fairphone 4 (a clearly underpowered phone already at release) for almost 4 years and it still performed just as well. This issue is overblown.
