Another lesson not learnt from therac-25 (and really most disasters caused by humans) is that safety is a cultural issue, that needs to be taken seriously from top to bottom in the organization. This is clearly not the case with Tesla.

I've never heard anyone complain that CSS is too limiting. If anything it's the opposite.

A fume hood isn't at all comparable to what typically exist in the 3D printer world though. He talks about it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD__e064_U4

The comment section is full of people who aren't reading the requirements. Bamboo Labs shouldn't be recommended as OP doesn't want a printer that phones home and is open source. Then there's cheap printers that are eithe

Their printers are also not sealed well. See for example @CanuckCreator on YouTube where he does a teardown, revealing large holes. This is not the way to go with toxic fumes or how to get good ABS printing performance.

(The printers mentioned may fulfill some of the requirements, but not all.) And yes, I think you're absolutely right. DIY kits are the way to go with OP's requirements.

There are cheap VORON kits that fits the budget and other needs, although they come with a bunch of tinkering. But you can't beat the open source and repairability aspect.

For some applications such as cooling of an extruder for a 3D printer Noctua fans indeed don't offer sufficient airflow. But I don't think that's an issue for computer cooling unless you're talking about extreme circumst

You acknowledge the life-threatening danger of the cars and you still proclaim yourself as a fanboy and you're keeping the car... "Cognitive dissonance" and "cult behavior" is what comes to my mind when I read this.

All my Swedish bank related apps work without issue. But there are some exceptions out there so you need to be more specific.

I have the exact opposite experience. Apart from having to tweak some location permissions for when I wanted to copy the BankID credentials from my old phone I haven't had to any tweaking or anything to get it to just work.

We need to normalize to reject crap PRs. If we don't then things will only continue.

And this is in part why these things are happening. People will dismiss it as "talking points" or "too ridiculous". And then they will continue to do it, fully aware that people will just not believe what is happening.

This is an interesting thing to try out: Replace "store of value" and "protection against inflation" with "investment" or "number go up" and see what it does to most of discourse around Bitcoin.

(Neo)vim is usually very fast. In Neovim at least one reason for why it might be slow is that the particular treesitter implementation for the syntax you're using isn't very optimized? But it depends a lot on what kind of type you

Unfortunately, very few people care about sideloading. And for those who do, Apple has been blocking sideloading for years. The actual solution is to buy a phone that supports GrapheneOS. No bloatware, install what you want, and get top cla

GrapheneOS is by far the better OS security and privacy wise. It should be the default choice for everyone IMO, as long as they have a phone that supports it. See this comparison: https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparis

We went past that point years ago. For Obama people went crazy because he wore a tan suit. But when Trump lies, grifts, cheats, or sexually assaults women (and children) people defends him. This is truly how a cult operates.

I guess it's the typing and syntax that feels like writing simple Rust, even though the semantics aren't that similar when you look closer.
