Yeah, Office 365 web version burned me hard too many times while collaborating. I had to switch to desktop only (which is still 365).

This simply hasn't worked for me in years. Haven't tried in about a year, though.

I switched from Linux Mint desktop to an M1 Air last year. Performance-wise, the M1 is very impressive, probably feels about 80% as fast as my 6 year old desktop (that sounds like snark, but it isn't). Meanwhile, the battery life is in

I decided to buy it for Shadows of the Empire, but Mario64 was actually great (while SotE was not).

This sounds more like new developments (where they level the land before building anything). Most older neighborhoods are much more diverse.

Hunters were the bulk of the original conversation/nature pushes historically, since they want lots of outdoor space and large animal populations. They bumped heads a bit with preservationists, but at the time most people felt nature w

In my experience, devs make terrible QAs, since they know what the code should do and never think of things like "pasting a novel into a textfield" and the like. They also tend to be much more expensive as well. Combine the two,

I know that I can't charge the PS5 controller off the switch dock, at least. I never have to charge the Pro Controller while the PS5 controller only lasts a few hours, so that would have been handy.

"increasingly-common", my macbook and now my PS5 have USB-C female ports for charging stuff. That's the grand total of places I can use these cords (and I doubt the PS5 will charge my phone). It's a slow rollout best.

Fedora is great, but lots of software assumes you are on Ubuntu, so that feels like a safer push.

On the other hand, if you are disabled and can't reach the fire alarm to silence it, you are at a disadvantage.

I wish this article existed a few years ago when my kid wanted to make a voice deactivated fire alarm. Most solutions require sending the audio data over the internet, which was unreasonable in a school gym. Most other solutions weren'

I know this comment is aging, but I had to configure every app individually in Linux Mint 18 (which I acknowledge is older), whereas macOS I just moved a slider. That said, I didn't realize until just now it could have been due to bein

So far, I find macOS to be more maintenance and trouble than Linux. Plus if there's something I want to change in Linux, it's usually a configuration somewhere, while on macOS I need to buy an app, which is pretty frustrating.

I feel that way after being on OSX for a year. At least on Linux you can access the magical underpinnings. OSX and Windows have all the same problems to me and far less ability to fix them.

The only thing stopping me from using Linux at this point is piss-poor 4k support, combined with the crap market for building your own PC (thanks Bitcoin!) I just couldn't beat the m1 Air for price/performance last year.

Here's one: Linux is better. A lot better. If you are worried about gaming or other apps, Win7 won't be much better than Linux (won't have latest DirectX or anything), and may end up far worse by then.

Maybe, but 5-10 years ago Apple-bashing was a karma death sentence (never guess how I learned that). Now it seems to be more of an active discussion (mostly due to the MBP keyboard situation I guess?).

At least that was linear. Their Xbox went to 360 second, then "One" third then "Series". Like that makes any sense at all.
