   It's irony manifest that companies would consider moving away from vendor lockin in data centers they own to data centers they do not own yet still locked into one vendor's platform.

   Most real world work is done in privately owned data centers. Hipster's love for AWS or the like isn't going to change that. Netflix rocks on AWS but that doesn't change the reality of data control concerns for most companies
