That's just the point: How could you ever assemble the data to turn a theory into truth if you are not allowed to discuss it?

There are plenty of examples: Microsoft Office 365, Netflix, YouTube's paid service, Amazon Prime. Let me pay Facebook or Google for the services I value. They might even be cheaper to deliver if my data wasn't constantly harveste

Exactly, I didn't know about that case but it seems like the rules were presented up front. I think it would only take a few alterations of the deal to panic a smart currency.... And maybe that's why governments won't actuall

To me, the biggest risk of CBDCs and other "smart" money ideas, is potentially mucking with the fungibility of our money. In the book Sapiens, one of the topics is that money is the greatest force unifying humanity, above empires

The premise of this whole article is that kids learn what you put in front of them, which I disagree with. They learn what they pursue. I have been enjoying a technology arms race with my daughter. She likes full youtube for content that is

From this article, the fake article was shared "dozens" of times? This news story about the fake news story is doing more damage than the story. More manufactured outrage..m How's that working out for you?

The point of this article is to, instead of feeling and spreading outrage for the shitty things you cannot change, go work to change and enjoy the things you can.

For some people their house and land aren't a crop to raise and sell, maybe they like their hidden gem for what it already is. See the lamentations on Austin's growing pains in this thread.

This discussion has been interesting. This article is newer than the top frontpage post with more points and more comments. Why is its ranking sinking so fast?

Maybe GP is referring to 1.1.1.2 and 1.1.1.3, the DNS resolvers that filter malware and malware+adult content respectively? Both are optional alternatives to the unfiltered 1.1.1.1 DNS service if so...

True, but if you can identify both the winner and the loser, say AMD and/or TSMC vs INTC, you could sell puts/spreads on the loser and sell calls/spreads on the winner in similar at-risk dollar amounts. If the market itself

Depending on how you measure it could be allowed... the diameter of the sphere could grow faster than the speed of light without any component exceeding c because you can grow at near light speeds in two directions.

I've got your point, and I think that knowing what we know now perhaps the planes could have been saved. I'm still not for blaming the pilots though: Would you have wanted to be the captain of a max while MCAS operated against a f

Microphone-less headphones are a great way to test this phenomenon. If you have them handy, just plug them into the mic port and talk. IIRC only one earpiece in a stereo set connects with a mono microphone jack.

This seems testable enough... The speed of light isn't in question here, so the frequency is the yardstick. Can't we just record the frequencies given off by the elements every hundred years or so and see that they are the same?
