Corn is synonymous with "grain" and in this context means whatever food crop is grown locally. In many parts of America this is maize, formerly known as "Indian corn".

It is explained in the FAQ: There was a bug in early Pentiums called the f00f bug, it would cause a deadlock if you provided an invalid operand to cmpxchg8b while using the lock prefix. It was an important vulnerability at the time, and I

Bandcamp is great; the only marketplace I have found with fair and reasonable terms for both producers and consumers of music. I never buy music anywhere else these days and am rather worried about Epic Games' acquisition.

Get Vernier calipers! The scale is easy to learn and use and measurements will be at least as precise as electronic calipers. With no batteries required the tool has much less of an environmental impact and you never need to worry about whe

I am still waiting on ≈45 minute software builds a few times a week and am constantly annoyed by slow-loading web sites. I don't expect computers to get fast enough "to not make a difference" for daily tasks in my lifetime.
