Artists no longer make money from selling music. They make money from live performances, or niche products like vinyl records/merch. But from streaming services? Not really. Live performances also have the added benefit of shielding ar

The State = People. The government are People. They are both as fallible as people are fallible. It's not magic. Technology helps to mitigate the fallibility of people.

I was just pointing out how funny the blatant doublespeak was in that comment. What if your home country has made trade illegal? Well guess what your home country does not support free trade. It supports limited trade, which is a perfectly

Just don't trade. Easy. We're actually supporting free trade by restricting free trade. Because when the government controls what you trade that's what free trade actually is. What an amazingly blatant example of Orwellianism

Protection and control are indistinguishable. And secondly what if the State is a bad actor? "Protecting" free trade from "bad actors" is just an extension of the state to control what "free trade" is from what

I think this is a very lazy kind of cultural analysis. The reason female voices are being chosen over male ones is a little more multifaceted than just SEX. Heterosexual women also tend to prefer female voices over male ones. Female voices

Your analogy serves zero purpose. What's the logic here? Machines can't think because humans are the only ones that can think. We know because we're thinking and the machines can't. So what's thinking? Well we'

Now you bring out the straw man as a defense? How about you use that idea for what you're typing as well. You're not standing up for art and culture. You're not asking for a "little reflection". You are however just

The real evil people here are the "artists" that have this kind of attitude. I still remember the "Digital Art isn't real Art" people, which btw still exist among your snobby "Fine Arts" crowds. I think we

We do this every round for every new technology. Here's the truth: NO ONE KNOWS. What part of No One Actually Knows do people not understand? This applies to both the "AI WILL RULE THE WORLD MUAHAHA" and "AI is BIG BIG H

How many Universities require taking Calculus, from diff to multi variable, for Humanity graduates? I think even the English majors should be required to take all 3 calculus courses to graduate.

Yes. But it's surprising how few people even make a basic attempt to do something simple when there's a paid way to do it that's simpler or readily available. This is the case even among technical people.

Actually I think it's the other way around. Humanities should require math and science in order for people to graduate. At the minimum Calculus/Stats + a CS class + some kind of science should be the absolute bare minimum.

Employers? Philosophy majors are generally unemployable, unless they're going into law. Though they do tend to make decent entrepreneurs or are self-employed in some other way. At least that's my assumption from experience.
