Yeah, the Mazda physical interface is great. More car manufacturers seem to be adopting the wheel to control CarPlay which is a lot nicer than reaching over to use the touch screen. I just wish the Mazda software was similarly well-designed

It's always annoying to have something that was free taken away from you, but this seems pretty fair. There's no way to handle push notifications without a centralized server. You can complain that $8/user/month is too e

The funny thing to me is that so much of the "AI software ecosystem" is just PyTorch. You don't need to develop some new framework and make it popular. You don't need to support a zillion end libraries. Just literally su

Okay, well, hurry up and do it already then. I don't need CUDA. Just make PyTorch run nicely on an Intel GPU that outperforms an Nvidia GPU of the same cost and I'll happily buy an Intel GPU.

AI systems are trained against private, PII, copyrighted data all the time without explicit consent. For example, consider the spellcheck in Google search. Every query you make will go into the training for that system, along with your pref

The best case outcome is to get publicity leading to US and EU antitrust regulators to file a lawsuit against Apple, both of which Apple loses. The conclusion of this lawsuit is that not only must Apple allow access to iMessage, they also m

The most embarassing thing about this isn't that the board decided to fire the CEO. That happens all the time. Many startups replace their CEO, it isn't always clear whether it's the right decision, but that's the respon
