It's non-obvious, but the 13" MacBook Pro is actually two different computers. On the low end it has a 15W CPU, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a single fan, and on the high end it has a 28W CPU, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a dual-

And what about all your data? (photos, emails, texts, browsing history, passwords, etc) If an attacker has compromised my computer to such an extent that they’s be able to record me, I’d be more worried about access to my private data than

Probably not. The iPhone SE is rumored to basically be an updated iPhone 8, which does not have a headphone jack. The iPhone 7 which preceded it did not have a headphone jack either. That said, I wouldn't completely discount it as a po

AFAICT the new Magic Keyboard for iPad didn't leak. There were rumors about a keyboard with a trackpad, sure, but I think everyone was surprised about the design.

This seems a bit silly - if people can’t make sure they’re buying the right stock, maybe they should bear the consequences of that. Caveat emptor.

My thoughts exactly. My local Safeway has decided to close at 9pm instead of midnight due to the health issues, which means that now everyone that would have gone later is now crowding in right before closing.

You can't just take a non-touch OS and release it on touchscreen devices. It makes more sense to try and add additional power/functionality/versatility to the already touch-based iOS, which Apple is doing, than it does to try

I'm not sure why this was posted on HN today, but the Mac mini hasn't been updated, it just has slightly different storage configurations. This is the exact same computer the debuted in late 2018.

The narrative existed because there was a span of several years where successive updates did make iPhones a bit slower, by virtue of adding more features and complexity. Since Apple makes money by selling you a new phone, some people assu

The problem is that there was a narrative for years that Apple was intentionally slowing down older phones with software updates, but there wasn't any proof. The fact that they were caught doing it in this case was considered validatio

Yeah, if you're making $70k and you could only get $40k elsewhere, you're probably going to work really really hard to not lose your job.

The title is exactly correct, the Raspberry Pi 4 that costs $35 does come with double the RAM now. The title doesn't say anything about any other price point configurations.

This is why I desperately want Apple to build a VPN service. They are already committed to privacy, and they've got a lot more to lose than some fly-by-night VPN service.
