The Charger isn't a great example of using the touch screen for "most controls", because if the inside of your Charger looks anything like this (I just Googled for a photo) http://cdn.pinthiscars.com/images&#x

Cars are boring and should be completely utilitarian. I'd rather not even own a car. You should have started your comment with this. I'd imagine that if you thought that phones are boring and completely utilitarian that

I suspect they are, they've said that the AirPods work with Macs and iPads, which as far as we know don't have any special radio hardware except the standard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

I don't wear my Pebble much, but your comment has reminded me that the app has read/write access to all the health data on my iPhone. It could have been secretly siphoning that data and uploading it for months without me knowing.

I think it would be impossible to tax charging (how would you know if someone is charging off the grid via solar?), but you could probably institute some sort of per-mile charge when renewing the car registration.

"Tipping isn't obligatory" -- yes, it kind of is. Uber used to bar drivers form asking, but they recently lost a lawsuit over that rule and so now Uber drivers will occasionally ask for tips (which will cause i

It's hard to say, utilities can't just jack up their prices whenever they want. However, it's possible that there might be capacity issues, where there's more demand for electricity at peak times than can be generated.

I was talking to my father a few weeks ago about electric cars, and I wanted to quantify how much going electric would save him so I ran some numbers. Where he lives gas is currently somewhere around $2.20/gallon. His car gets around 3

Porsche is conservative with their reported 0-60 numbers. People that have tested it are able to get 2.5s. Look at the first two columns of times in the table here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fastest_producti

The 918 is unpurchaseable, but you can walk into any Porsche dealer and buy a 911 Turbo S for ~$190k that'll do 0-60 in 2.5s.

I wonder where they're getting 315 miles of range from in the P100D. The P90D has 270 miles of range, or 3 miles/kWh. For 100kWh it should be 300 miles of range. At 315 miles of range the P100D is 5% more efficient than the P90D.

Beginning in iOS 10, when a user enables “Limit Ad Tracking,” the OS will send along the advertising identifier with a new value of “00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000.” I think it would be better if iOS just generated a
