I think it's just human nature that if things are horrible for you and your family you'll want things to change and if things are good you want them to keep going. The guy above obviously is having a great time so any change to th

Broken systems should be fixed or replaced, is that the type of thinking you abhor? If you prefer living in a broken system I guess you have a lot of options available. What we have been doing in America has utterly failed humanity, sounds

Great! For me "turn-taking" has been one of the big downfalls of the voice agents. It always seems to break in, just let the silence continue when I'm done talking or pause when it hears the slightest cough or car noise.

That's a funny comparison, I can and do use cryptocurrency to pay web hosting, VPN and a few other things as it's become the native currency of the internet. I love llms too but agree with the parent comment that says it's in

I'm not sure what you mean but I'm trying to say our current LLMs are not artificially intelligent and calling them "AI" has confused a lot of the lay public.

In this scenario we have the print version AND the digital version. You could also say in the middle of a house file with the paper on fire the digital version would be better but it's pointless to invent around the assumptions.

I'm still WAY better off with my solar panels and ALL the books on an external hard drive. I can't think of ANY situation where a print out of Wikipedia would be better than a digital version.

I have a small farm, solar, a pond and a ton of farming/gardening books. I for one would LOVE a PipBoy-like cyberdeck with a snapshot of the internet from 2025 when I' hunkered down with my dogs, sheep and goats.

Or we could just accept that LLMs can only output what we have put in and calling them, "AI" was a misnomer from day one.

From what I've been hearing is its all marketing and no farmers are actually using it. Basically it is financially nonsensical compared to chemical herbicides. That and driving a tractor through the fields 2, 3 or 4 more times at 2-3 M

Farming is HUGELY automated, its not automation that is the problem, it is people outside of farming thinking they can improve processes without FIRST understanding what they are doing. For example, vertical farming aims replace the SUN wit

As an agriculturist Ive been saying this would be inevitable for 10 years! "Vertical farming" has got to be one of the stupidest ideas the tech bros have tried to introduce to agriculture pretty much ever. Also topping the list ar

A lot of people are well aware of how much they are deluding themselves (into thinking they are happy and deserve to be so) that they should avoid psychedelics at all costs. It's like their ego knows it's in danger.
