What I would really like to see is the emulation of telephone network over internet so that we could all continue using our old modems and retro computers and setup real BBSs with real (or simulated) modems. We all want to hear the real mod

RS-485 in itself really isn't. It has no concept of "channels" although it can be operated as multipoint. You may be mixing this with Modbus which is typically run on RS-485.

It can be argued that Z3 was not as general purpose (Turing complete) as ENIAC. "The Z3 was demonstrated in 1998 to be, in principle, Turing-complete. However, because it lacked conditional branching, the Z3 only meets this definition

I don't get it. Seems like the donations are (partly) used to allow the site maintainer to increase his personal Amiga collection. "All donations are exclusively used for the up-keep of the site or shipment of donated hardware.&qu

Your 1) is not related to reverse engineering at all. Just low-level programming. What EXACTLY needs to be reverse engineered to "make old school games" or "fully functional operating system"? It's an ARM and the GP

What is the point of putting that zero in the version number when it quite clearly is not a decimal number and now it kind of looks like one and is confusing? Makes me want to avoid D.

If I would notice such a requirement, I would invent the language from scratch, fake a whole website documenting that, develop a compiler (probably LLVM frontend) and apply.
