Well, personally I prefer a different kind of notation. That said, there are several ways to get the same solution. In the following, apostrophe, ', means transpose and two symbols next to each other means multiplication, Ax = A (tim

This is not entirely true and depends on the logic system that you choose. Something that helped open my eyes to the different possibilities is this article, which talks about producing a formal logical system for statements in Buddhism:

Alright, so I noticed this before and just tried it again. While I can fill in forms, does anyone know how to save them? The man page says "S", but that doesn't work and I remember this causing issues for me in the past.

Evince can handle forms most of the time. That said, Acrobat allows things like Livecycle (XFA) forms, which are nonstandard and will break just about everything outside of Acrobat. Outside of that, pdftk can handle forms using the forms

Candidly, I don't know much about the sustainability of hemp versus the many varieties of cotton, so I will defer. That said, it's not clear to me that sustainability will be the ultimate decider for what textile people use. Peo

No, I don't think so. The derivative required by the Wolfe-conditions is a directional derivative. Even if we're using AD to calculate the derivative, this can be calculated using a forward-mode method, which is cheaper than a r

I don't believe this to be entirely accurate: 1. Reverse mode in automatic differentiation is not as efficient at the function evaluation. Even discounting certain costs, and depending on how you count, the theoretic cost is 4-5 time

I suppose I don't follow. Strong Wolfe conditions do not require convexity in order to guarantee convergence. If I recall correctly, the requirement for convergence is that the gradient be Lipschitz continuous, not convexity, which s
