> Personally, I never liked agile. I like to get a description of a problem. Prototype. Take that to that customer and ask for feedback. Iterate. QA. QA. QA. Release. That is agile for me. What is agile for you then?

Miles ahead how? It sucks. It looses wifi all the time and I have to do a crazy change on settings. I got tired and got a Fire TV Max. No more problems.

So, what you are saying is that those "best collaborative experiences" where the best because they were remote? Or do you think they could have been even better if they were on site?

Can I ask why? You don't buy things in malls anymore? Why? Thanks!

WOW. This looks great. Thanks. I will be testing it for a while.

In the company I currently work, we have the option of MacBook Pro's or ThinkPad X1 Carbon. I never seen such a problem. I am not saying that it does not exist.

Yeah, after many, many problems with Dell's and HP's (I worked at IBM and we absorved thouthands of such machines on outsourcing deals), I recommend ThinkPads, Series X, T, P.

I mean from the UI point of view. The new taskbar, or at least the one on the version I tried, is much more MacOS than Windows10. And the hate is because after so much work, half of the OS works in a new way, and the other half in the old w

Yeah, I tried Win11, very MacOS, but if I wanted a Mac, I will buy a Mac, not a PC. So I uninstalled it and went back to Win10. Maybe by Win12 it should be good again.

I think is better to install Windows 10 IoT. Crapware free.

Yes. I don't understand what he is talking about. Not only can a software engineer who finds a job easily get a visa in Europe, but if he is married to an EU partner, or a person living in EU who has a visa, he can easily stay and work

Nothing stops you. But being together "forces" you to socialize. When I turn off the camera, you are gone.

by kwanbix 4y ago
>I never really understood why people say productivity and socializing is difficult remote. Productivity, with the right mindset, tools, support, can probably be as good as in person. Now, I rather go see my friends in person than setup

And how do you use it with Firefox?
675.
by kwanbix 4y ago
Why don't you just disconnect it from the lan/wifi?

by kwanbix 4y ago
Would love to use Firefox, sadly I have to browse many websites in foreign languages and Chrome has the best option for translation. :(

I think they really screwed up after Delphi 7, when they did the horrible Delphi.NET. Also, they should have had some better pricing, something like: Personal use: Free. Commercial use: Free until you are making $x a year, like Unity I thin

I think the real lesson is you cannot depend on one single provider. Because even if today is really a friendly one, tomorrow it could become hostile.

For me, the problem is that it was a 5000 dollars scooter which is about 8000 of today's dollars. Too expensive for my use case.

RemoveBG is clearly not free (unless we count one single image) and you need to register (to get that single image). Love the product, but the "to-go" prices are too high imho.

I also do this and my emails appeared on DB breaches so I got spam there.
