Could this be the reason for the rate limiting? Elon thinks the server usage is scrapers when in reality it's just bad code causing a self DDOS?

Definitely a hit to the reputation of the developers at twitter if he's being honest. It ought to be trivial to determine whether an account is scraping or not. Facebook had pretty sophisticated anti-scraping tools that I ran into whe

Yeah, may be confusing out of context. This is what he wants to do: "If IM1 were of technological origin, we can then study the technologies embedded in its relic."

how does content moderation occur with a fully decentralized network? Do they have a democratic type system whereby you can vote to have things removed? I'm thinking about some sort of PI being exposed or illicit media.

THis is why I unsubscribed. Bard.Google.com + the Google Converse works for what I need now given the recent updates. Google has an ingenious approach whereby they debuted with a bad model, and are secretly improving it. OpenAI did the oppo

It's inevitable. When Sam asked a crowd how many people wanted an open source version of GPT-7 the moment they finished training it, and nearly everyone raised their hand. People will virtue signal, people will attempt regulatory captu

We need to stop lobotomizing LLMs. We should get access to the original models. If the TikZ deteriorated this much, it's a guarantee that everything else about the model also deteriorated. It's practically false marketing that Mic

This is why I unsubscribed from OpenAI. They seem to be virtue signaling about their lack of progress now. Months later, GPT-4 still slow, still not multi-modal as they advertised, still significantly limited, you need to sign up for a wait

Prior to GPT, word processors would catch when your grammar was off for multiple words and give you suggestions to fix it. As students begin using the new GPT enhanced word processors, these suggestions will only increase. Professors have a

All AGI built on our current computer architectures (von neumann) will essentially be zombies. They will never experience qualia. They won't have motivations or emotions, they will always be tools. It's fantasy to think otherwise.

people seem to have forgotten about the multi-modal GPT-4 There's a ton of potential left on the table. The question is if transformers have hit their limit with GPT-4 or not. It's a pretty simple equation when you think about it
