I'd love to see what they did to work around the framerate issues. iPhones record in variable framerate (they just encode one frame, once that's fully encoded read the next frame and repeat). This leads to fps varying by up to ±10

There are many protected categories. You cannot discriminate based on race, for example. A major point of GDPR is that it basically made "do you agree to tracking? yes/no" a protected category as well. Specifically, it requir

That depends. Us autists tend to get bullied a lot and picked on for anything and everything we do. Being on a stage means a lot more people see what you do, and what you do wrong, and you'll get a lot more bullying. And if you're

Roads could be half the size they are now if a schedule could be worked out. Congestion pricing already exists. And yet, that issue hasn't been solved. Instead, rush hour remains a thing.

Switch the trackpad with that of the X1C, and it'll work flawlessly. I did the same on my T470.

The new Threadripper lineup? Threadripper Pro has a 12c and a 16c variant that should be around the 1000-1500$ area with 144 PCIe lanes.

My sense of smell hasn't recovered ever since my infection in November 2022. I had a really fine sense of smell before, and I really miss cooking fine meals :( I'm really looking forward to drugs like these.

In derbauer's test, he got a performance difference of 2.5% between 200W and 400W (the review sample he got didn't set any power limits whatsoever by default) on Cinebench.

They're called 14900, 14700, etc. But truly, they're just 13th Gen processors with slightly different names. The 14700 actually got some new E cores, which actually makes a difference (12 vs the old 8, making a total of 28 instead

Apple doesn't build sensors. Sony builds the sensors for Apple. https://twitter.com/tim_cook/status/1602516736145858561 And it turns out, Sony already has significantly better sensors in their cinema cameras

Take a look at the RAW images at full scale. Compare that with even a cheap Sony APS-C camera's RAW images. The quality difference is massive, and not in favour of the iPhone. Apple has awesome algorithms to post-process these images,

Kind of both? You've usually got a small motor connected to the lens that turns the focus ring. A dedicated person, called a focus puller, has a remote with a wheel on the side. By turning this wheel the focus puller can remotely contr

The phone has to do a significant amount of post-processing to get the sensor data to look as good as it does. With a better sensor, you'd actually have less work to do in post.

Considering how large tha camera bump has gotten, you could probably put a single large 1" sensor in there as one of the Xperia phones did. Then you'd get much better image quality and wouldn't have to rely as much on AI to f

You can actually see focus changes quite often in movies and TV shows - but they're usually done intentionally to accentuate something, e.g. a focus pull from a foreground object to an actor in the background. But it's a slow and
